About FOUR years ago, I took an online course about making comics. One of the assignments was to include a silent panel somewhere on the page. No dialogue or text, just the characters existing in the moment.

I wanted to cram in a punchline and kiiiinda sacrificed the silent panel for it. If I'd been graded, that page probably would've gotten a B.

Anyway, every time I draw silent panels now, I always think about that assignment. I kind of quietly say to myself, "see... I do know how to do it..."
